Baughan Agencies Ltd. has been a proud part of the Wainwright community for over 47 years. Our connection with the town began when our founder Roger Baughan, retired from the military and began what is now our family business. We are currently on our 3rd generation of family running the business.

Colter is proud to be our 3rd generation family member at Baughan Agencies. He came to us with a Business/Commerce Diploma from NAIT in 2007. He’s a natural salesman who knows our products inside and out. His expertise is commercial insurance and his personable attitude is his strong point.
Darlene H. Baughan (Semi retired)
Darlene has over 33 years of experience in insurance and Alberta Registries. She obtained her CAIB designation in 1993. She also has many certificates for Alberta Registries and plenty of experience as well. She works mainly managing the office these days and is sometimes found at her cabin at the lake. Always looking to move the office forward she keeps things running smoothly. She stays busy with gardening, golfing, curling, time at the lake, snowmobiling (when we get enough snow) and her grandchildren are so special to her.
Wainwright has always been home for Coby. She took her high school education here and then relocated to northern Alberta before returning to work for Baughan Agencies Ltd. in June 2010. She achieved her CAIB designation in 2015 and is currently working towards her CIP designation. Coby is very knowledgeable in both personal and commercial lines insurance.
Rene was born and raised in Wainwright and is raising his two children Rhett and Sydney here with his wife Kendra. He joined the Baughan Agencies Ltd. team in June of 2016. Rene currently deals primarily with personal lines and is our go to man for computer problems as well. He was previously employed in the oil and gas industry for over 10 years which is very useful in communicating client’s needs to insurers.
Amie has been in Wainwright since 2009 and is proud to be part of such a great community. Amie recently joined the Baughan Agencies Ltd. team after working for a number of years as a legal assistant. She has recently obtained her Level II Insurance license and continues to grow her knowledge of Insurance products. Amie is excited to begin her new career path providing our clients with the efficient and friendly service customer service our clients expect from Baughan Agencies Ltd.
Norma has lived in Wainwright all her life and has been with Baughan Agencies Ltd. since May 2000 as an Alberta Registries clerk. She has her Basic Registries Certificate and has trained in Level 1 Corporate Registries, Personal Property, Commercial Vehicles including Pro-Rate, Land Titles, Vital Stats, Organ and Tissue Donor Registry as well as Medical Approver for Alberta licensing.
Donna has called Wainwright home for many years and raised three children here. She came to Baughan Agencies Ltd. in May 2006. Donna has her Basic Registries Certificate and has also been trained in Level 1 Corporate Registries, Personal Property, Commercial Vehicles including Pro-Rate, Land Titles, Vital Stats, Organ and Tissue Donor Registry, as well as Medical Approver for Alberta licensing.
Alex moved to Wainwright in 2013 and started working at Baughan Agencies Ltd. in April of 2014. She has her Basic Registries Certificate and has completed training for Medical Approver for Alberta Licensing, Organ and Tissue Donor Registry and Vital Stats. Alex will be working towards her Level I Insurance Broker.
Lorraine calls Wainwright her home having raised two children on the same family farm that she grew up on. She started working at Baughan Agencies Ltd. in 2003 as our bookkeeper. She loves the job as well as the people she works with. She keeps our books straight and helps out all over the office with various computer problems that arise.
Nataliia is our new receptionist, she joined our group October 2017. Nat moved to Canada in 2013 with her husband and two boys. She is working on obtaining her Alberta Registries Basic training certificate. She likes to sew and she loves to work with the public and loves people in general. Great new addition to our team!
